醫(yī)生必須要先有價(jià)值，醫(yī)院才會(huì)重用你。你現(xiàn)在手中什么有價(jià)值的東西都沒有。醫(yī)院憑什么給你花錢？去年12月有個(gè)醫(yī)生打電話通知我，醫(yī)院決定讓他做副院長(zhǎng)了，因?yàn)樗?023年5月從廣州到柏林，他成為了德國(guó)著名關(guān)鍵學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)袖的博士生了。2月16日我從廣州飛到柏林。我與他的德國(guó)導(dǎo)師開一個(gè)閉門會(huì)議，并有兩場(chǎng)晚宴。今年這位醫(yī)生就將畢業(yè)了，他也是中國(guó)這家三甲醫(yī)院第一個(gè)德國(guó)臨床醫(yī)學(xué)MD博士。這個(gè)月醫(yī)院也主動(dòng)報(bào)銷了他在德國(guó)的博士學(xué)費(fèi)。如果兩年前他沒有投資自己到德國(guó)讀博，他永遠(yuǎn)就是一輩子呆在那科室。中國(guó)大多醫(yī)生只知道門診和手術(shù)。這僅僅是基本能力。其實(shí)醫(yī)生最重要的是認(rèn)知和雄心。你花錢買的衣服最后會(huì)破破爛爛，你花錢買的房會(huì)賣不出去，你花錢買的股票會(huì)套牢。只有你花錢出國(guó)學(xué)習(xí)，是求名師找貴人。最后你才會(huì)有了有價(jià)值的文憑，這是你進(jìn)入頂級(jí)學(xué)術(shù)圈的入場(chǎng)券。這是提高你的認(rèn)知，提高你的職業(yè)在線，為你未來(lái)幾十年的職業(yè)生涯遮風(fēng)避雨。你只有從一個(gè)普通醫(yī)生變?yōu)閮?yōu)秀醫(yī)生，你在醫(yī)院就不用看任何人的臉色行事，商業(yè)的本質(zhì)就是互惠互利，只要你有價(jià)值，醫(yī)院就會(huì)求著你，都會(huì)捧著你，連院長(zhǎng)都可以來(lái)哄著你。院長(zhǎng)也要面子，院長(zhǎng)也要幫他干活的人，院長(zhǎng)也要業(yè)績(jī)。在中國(guó)，你看隨便一家三甲醫(yī)院，過去有幾個(gè)醫(yī)生是德國(guó)臨床醫(yī)學(xué)MD博士，過去醫(yī)院根本沒有。沒有的東西就有價(jià)值。努力學(xué)習(xí)，一是學(xué)好英文，二是搞好科研和臨床，三是多發(fā)文章。

Doctors must first have value before the hospital will truly value and promote you. If you don’t have anything valuable in your hands right now, why would the hospital invest in you? Last December, a doctor called me to inform me that the hospital had decided to promote him to the position of Vice President. Because in May 2023, he went from Guangzhou to Berlin, and became an MD student under a renowned academic leader in Germany. On February 16, I flied fly from Guangzhou to Berlin. I had an internal meeting and two dinners with his doctoral supervisor. This year, the doctor will get his MD degree, becoming the first doctor in this Grade Ⅲ Class A hospital who holds a German MD degree. This month, the hospital also offered to reimburse the expenses for his doctoral stay in Germany. Had he not invested in studying for an MD degree in Germany two years ago, he would’ve stayed in his department for his entire career. Most doctors in China are dedicated only to outpatient consultations and surgeries. But that’s just the basic skill set. Actually what matters most for doctors is their vision and ambition. Clothes you buy will wear out eventually. The property you invest might not be easy to sell. Stocks you purchase may get stuck in a loss. Only money spent on studying abroad gets you career mentors and life changers. Eventually, you’ll gain a valuable degree. It is your ticket into top academia. This is how you expand your vision, enhance your professional visibility, and shield your career for decades ahead. Only when you transform from an ordinary doctor to an excellent doctor, will you no longer need to please anyone. The core of business is mutual benefit. Only when you are valuable, the hospital management will come to you. Everyone will support you - even the Hospital President will try to win you over. The Hospital President also cares about reputation. They need capable people to work for them. They also need performance results. In China, how many doctors in a Grade Ⅲ Class A hospital have been a German MD degree holder in the past? There was none at all in the past. Whatever is rare holds value. So work hard: First, improve your proficiency in English. Second, promote your research capability and clinical expertise. Third, publish more papers.
